Pighi is a small, quiet traditional Greek village above the bay of Rethymnon. Some foreigners have already settled here for good or using it as their 2nd holiday home.

In the village there are some small supermarkets, bakeries, butcher, kafeneions and tavernas. The nearest doctors and pharmacies are located in Adelianos Campos approx. 3 kms towards Rethymnon town, and of course in the city itself. There are also a public Hospital and a Private Clinic. A LIDL supermarket just opened in Tsesmes, approx. 4 km towards Rethymnon, beyond the popular tourist place of Platanias.
